Hi, I'm Kam.
I'm a founder. I build software, and I'm learning to sell it. I live in Toronto, after a few years in San Francisco.
I'm an immigrant, and education is the reason my life looks the way it does. That's not a slogan. It's the thing that decided which doors were open to me. Most of what I've built comes back to it.
What I've done
My co-founder Samit and I have started two companies together. We built and sold the first one in under a year. Then we started Penseum, an AI study tool that turned into a real-time AI tutor. More than 2 million students have used it, and we never paid for a single one of them.
Before Penseum I built 1cm, a price comparison for cannabis that scraped the internet to find cheaper weed. It was acquired in 2022.
Alongside that I've done automation work for TechTO and the Empire Club of Canada, and I ship small products fast. The current ones are on the projects page.
What I'm doing now
Two things. Selling, and building a real network. Every project I've touched hit the same wall: distribution. A warm network and the ability to sell fix that for everything at once, so that's where my time goes.
I also run my life out of a folder of markdown files that an AI reads before every conversation. Who I am, what I'm working on, what I'm avoiding. It's caught more things I was dodging than any productivity app ever did. This site was built the same way.
How I think
- Without a hard stop, work expands and never feels finished.
- The tool is rarely the bottleneck. Running the loop every day is.
- Honesty is cheaper than a good story. It compounds better too.
- One disruption knocks everything down. Protect the core routine.
